Our History

In 1988, Bishop Timothy J. Harrington shared a dream: that generous benefactors would help families in need access Catholic education. That vision became reality through the Adopt-A-Student Program, founded under the leadership of William O’Brien and a dedicated Steering Committee.

Our Mission

The Adopt-A-Student Program provides scholarships to students whose families face financial hardship, ensuring access to Catholic elementary and secondary education in the Diocese of Worcester. We support academically qualified students who seek to grow in an environment rooted in faith, tradition, and strong moral values—helping shape the leaders of tomorrow.
